We warned in front of the Consulate Gen. of Greece: Do Not Forget September 9th!

As the Youth Union of Turkey (TGB), we organized a statement in front of the Consulate General of Greece in the 98th year of the liberation of Izmir. President of TGB, Yıldırım Gençer who made the statement, "Do not forget the end of those who came to Izmir as enemies on May 15th. Don't forget September 9th! Don't forget what spilled into that vast sea just behind us on September 9th.” said.

In a statement against Greece's aggressive stance towards Turkey's continental course in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean, Yıldırım Gençer said: "We did not gather here only to celebrate our victory. We came to Izmir on September 9th with the excitement, consciousness, anger, joy, and hope of the Turkish Cavalry. We're not here to remember a historic day, we're here to remind you. As a Turkish youth, we came to warn the people of neighboring Greece. We have come to explain the determination of the Turkish nation against the US-Israel-Greece-GASC, imperialist block that threatens our country in our blue homeland."

"Greece Is Given the Role of Pawn"

Noting that Greece is being used as a pawn by the United States, Gençer said, "Greece is not our enemy. We're not facing Greece in the Eastern Mediterranean. Greece is being given the role of pawn, Greece is being put on fire. Just like the Greek army that was driven over our Izmir, our beloved homeland, in the 1920s. The bitter experience of the Greek army, driven to Anatolia with British lira and British gold for British interests, is similar to that of present-day Greece, which was driven against us in the Eastern Mediterranean for US interests."
"Where are the French armored battleship Bouvet and the British Irresistible coming at us in the Çanakkale? Didn't the steel ships of those great states end up at the bottom of the Çanakkale with the power of the Turkish nation and the power of the Turkish army? We present a painting of those armors to the Greek administration, which relies on U.S., French and Israeli battleships. Today, the Eastern Mediterranean is our wrestling cushion. We will eliminate the threats against the TRNC just as we brought the backs of the 7 heifers to the ground in Çanakkale on September 9th. We remind those who challenged our country with names such as Nemesis, Noble Dina, Alexander exercise, the shipwrecks that are underlying Gallipoli." Gençer said. After the statement, Gençer left a photograph of the French armored ship Bouvet, which was buried in the deep waters of the strait at the Battle of Çanakkale, in front of the Greek Consulate General.

"Let the Mediterranean be a sea of friendship between Turkey and Greece"

With the emphasis that the Eastern Mediterranean is a sea of friendship, Yıldırım Gençer said: "Today, our country is fighting against US imperialism in the Black Sea, Aegean, Mediterranean, northern Syria, northern Iraq. From the Blue Homeland to the East of the Euphrates, it is vital for the security of this region in terms of peace and security that we create togetherness from Russia, Iran, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Turkey, and even Egypt. Our September 9th victory is a legacy of common struggle not only for us but for all these countries. In this respect, Greece's aggressive activities in the Eastern Mediterranean are aimed not only at Turkey, but at all these oppressed nations, and those who rule Greece are in a betrayal of both their own homeland and humanity. Greece should not play a role in the plans of the great imperialist states, the Mediterranean would be a sea of peace between Turkey and Greece, a sea of brotherhood, a sea of neighborliness."

HERE’S THE FULL PRESS STATEMENT:

Dear Press Members, Precious People of Izmir,
It's September 9th, the 98th anniversary of our great victory. The day we dismantled our beloved hometown of Izmir from the hands of the enemy. Our day of honor, proof that we will not surrender our freedom to any foreign power. Congratulations!

We did not gather here only to celebrate our victory. We came to Izmir on September 9th with the excitement, consciousness, anger, joy, and hope of the Turkish Cavalry. We're not here to remember a historic day, we're here to remind you. As a Turkish youth, we came to warn the people of neighboring Greece. We have come to explain the determination of the Turkish nation against the US-Israel-Greece-GASC, imperialist block that threatens our country in our blue homeland.
Old memories are great experiences. Those who came to this land as enemies, do not forget the end of those who came to Izmir as enemies on May 15th. Don't forget September 9th! Don't forget what spilled into that vast sea just behind us on September 9th.
You cannot come to Turkey's territory, our Blue Homeland, and our Cyprus with a sword. Those who come to our lands and waters with swords go with swords! Let those in charge of Greece remember these experiences.

Greece is not our enemy. We're not facing Greece in the Eastern Mediterranean. Greece is being given the role of pawn, Greece is being put on fire. Just like the Greek army that was driven over our Izmir, our beloved homeland, in the 1920s. The bitter experience of the Greek army, driven to Anatolia with British lira and British gold for British interests, is similar to that of present-day Greece, which was driven against us in the Eastern Mediterranean for US interests.
Where are the French armored battleship Bouvet and the British Irresistible coming at us in the Çanakkale? Didn't the steel ships of those great states end up at the bottom of the Çanakkale with the power of the Turkish nation and the power of the Turkish army? We present a painting of those armors to the Greek administration, which relies on U.S., French and Israeli battleships. Today, the Eastern Mediterranean is our wrestling cushion. We will eliminate the threats against the TRNC just as we brought the backs of the 7 heifers to the ground in Çanakkale on September 9th. We remind those who challenged our country with names such as Nemesis, Noble Dina, Alexander exercise, the shipwrecks that are underlying Gallipoli.

Today, our country is fighting against US imperialism in the Black Sea, Aegean, Mediterranean, northern Syria, northern Iraq.

If Greece does not play a role in the plans of the great imperialist states, the Mediterranean will be a sea of peace between Turkey and Greece, a sea of brotherhood, a sea of neighborliness.

We will definitely take care of the Eastern Mediterranean cause with the power of the Turkish nation and the deterrent power of the Turkish Armed Forces.
We celebrate the September 9th of our Turkish army, which has always given us victories. We wish success to our ships looking for energy resources under our seas.

We salute our brave soldiers who continued the Martyr Captain Cengiz Topel Mediterranean Storm exercise!

May your sword be sharp!

May the hearts of all humanity and the Turkish nation be reassured.

We will not abandon a single piece of rock, a drop of water of our Blue Homeland, under the sovereignty of the Republic of Turkey to any foreign state!

Yıldırım Gençer
(Former) President of TGB
